Chili’s Charity Night to Benefit Local Cancer Patients
The June E. Nylen Cancer Center is partnering with Chili’s for their Charity Night on Thursday, August 16 from 4 to 8p.m. with ten percent of sales benefitting cancer patients.
The evening is a kick-off celebration for the 16th annual Race for Hope. Come meet Race Ambassadors George Glass and Reed Eckert and celebrity wait staff from the Sioux City Fire Department and others. Enjoy dinner and register for prizes while supporting a great cause.
The Race for Hope is Saturday, September 15 at Adams Homestead & Nature Preserve; registration begins at 7:00 a.m. The Race for Hope has something for everyone: including kids’ activities and an opportunity to honor and remember those touched by cancer. Participants may walk or run in a 5K or 15K and kids may participate in a 1K fun run.
Chilis began their Charity Night as a way to give back to the community and encourage people to support a local non-profit. They have given back thousands of dollars to local charities.
“The Cancer Center appreciates the opportunity to partner with Chili’s and we appreciate the support from our community,” said Pat Hubbard, director of fund development.
Tips from the evening and ten percent of sales from August 16 until the end of September will support the Race for Hope with one hundred percent of the proceeds staying here in Sioux City to directly benefit cancer patients.
To sign up for the race stop by Chili’s on August 16 or the cancer center anytime before September 15. Register on-line at www.nylencancercenter.com. For more information contact Pat Hubbard, firstname.lastname@example.org or 712.252.9352.
