Transportation
The majority of the Cancer Center patients are senior citizens. In a survey conducted by the Cancer Center, many patients told us they would rather not drive themselves to their radiation therapy appointment.
Patients may take advantage of our van service by calling the Cancer Center’s Resource Room, and we’ll be on our way!
We will provide shuttle service from your home to the Cancer Center if you live in Cherokee, Estherville, Primghar, Sheldon, Spencer, Sprit Lake, Storm Lake or nearby communities in Iowa.
Patients living in Nebraska can meet the shuttle at Pender Community Hospital in Pender, Nebraska, or Providence Medical Center in Wayne, Nebraska.
Patients residing in South Dakota or areas not served by the shuttle service are encouraged to contact the Cancer Center’s Resource Room at 712-252-0088 for assistance with procuring other modes of transportation. For more information about the shuttle service, call 712-252-0088 or ask your Cancer Center physician.
