I’ve Been Flocked! Now What?

Help pass along the message to others by moving the flock to roost in another yard and donating to help fight cancer.

STEP #1: Print out the “You’ve Been Flocked” letter below, fill in your name at the top, and add to the holder tied to one of the flamingos.

Make an Impact - Donate to the Cause

According to the American Cancer Society 1 out of 2 men and 1 out of 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer at sometime in their life. More than 150 people enter the June E. Nylen Cancer Center each day for hope and healing.

STEP #2: We ask those that got flocked to donate to the cause. Outright donations are also welcome if you didn’t get flocked.

Pass the Flock of Flamingos On!

After you get “flocked,” we ask that you pass it on within 24-48 hours. Take a photo of the flamingos in your friend’s yard (be careful to not include house numbers for safety purposes please) and challenge them to “Flock Together to Fight Cancer.”

STEP #3: Tag the new “caretakers” as well as @NylenCancerCenter on Facebook and use the hashtag: #FLOCKTOGETHER2021.

Track the JENCC Wild Birds’ Migration

If you have been a caretaker of the JENCC flock but passed it on, or if you didn’t get flocked by the flamingos but just made an outright minimum donation of $50 to “Flock Together to Fight Cancer,” we have a fun sign for you. This helps us track of all the flocks’ migration stops - and really raises continued awareness for our cause throughout October.

1. Stop by the Cancer Center to pick up a permanent yard sign that shows you helped support the cause.

2. If you prefer to not make the trip, you can still print and post this same artwork for posting in your front door or window.
