To bring additional specialized oncology services to patients here in Siouxland – saving the cost and time of traveling out of town, the June E. Nylen Cancer Center has developed a partnership with Nebraska Medicine.

At this time we are piloting the eConsult Program with just leukemia and lymphoma patients. We have always encouraged second opinions if patients wanted one and the eConsult Program is a convenient option for our most complex leukemia and lymphoma cases that saves them the time and cost of going to a second facility.
Read MoreA new process was implemented at the conclusion of JENCC’s fiscal year to help determine some ways to put unrestricted donations to great work within the organization. While some of the unrestricted funds were set aside for strategic priorities and patient programs and support services, all employees had an opportunity to submit a Request for Funding. A committee made up of representatives from each department reviewed and scored all of the requests. The Committee then met and finalized the allocation of funds.
